Financial District therapist for the pressure nobody on the desk talks about
“I am good at my job and I dread every Sunday night.” “The bonus came and I felt nothing. Scared me more than a bad year would have.”
Our Financial District patients are traders, bankers, lawyers, and the families who now live full-time in the towers around the Seaport and Battery Park City. We are not in FiDi itself, so we see clients at our Midtown office or online. The online format fits a desk schedule that does not respect a standard hour.
In-network with Cigna and Aetna · superbill on request for out-of-network plansWhat does therapy in the Financial District look like at Therapy24x7?
Therapy24x7 sees adults in the Financial District and across all of New York State via secure online video, weekly, with the same clinician each week. Sessions take place at the practice’s Midtown Manhattan office (141 East 35th Street) or online statewide, no rotating therapists and no session quotas. The primary orientation is psychodynamic and relational, with evidence-based methods woven in when useful. The practice is in-network with Cigna and Aetna; for other carriers, we provide out-of-network superbills for possible reimbursement.
These can look similar from the outside. Therapy is different for each.
High performance is not the same as feeling well
The market rewards numbness and punishes hesitation, and after enough years the off switch stops working at home too. “I can stay calm closing a deal and then cannot sit through dinner without checking my phone.” We treat the person, not the bottom line.

Before you book
My hours are unpredictable: can I book around the market?
Yes. We hold early-morning and evening slots, and online sessions let you keep the hour even when a deal runs long. Many FiDi patients use one fixed weekly time and move it only when they have to, which is itself part of the work.
Will therapy show up on anything my firm or compliance can see?
No. Treatment is confidential and billed as a standard medical claim through your own insurance, not through your employer. If you prefer to keep insurance out of it entirely, we can discuss out-of-network superbills on the matching call.
I do not have a diagnosis, I am just exhausted: is that a reason to come?
Yes. You do not need a label to start. Chronic pressure, flat mood, and the sense that the wins stopped landing are exactly what therapy is for, and naming it early tends to keep it from hardening into something heavier.
Do you work with the spouses and partners of finance professionals?
Yes. The strain of a partner who is physically present and mentally on the desk is a common reason people reach out. We see both halves of that, separately, depending on who is ready.
Can I pay with an FSA or HSA card, and is billing discreet?
Yes to both, since psychotherapy is a qualified medical expense. The charge appears as an ordinary medical line, and a personal or HSA card keeps it off any shared account.
The desk runs hot. You do not have to.
The 15-minute matching call places you at our Midtown office or in secure online sessions across New York State. We go over the exact questions to ask your Aetna or Cigna plan on the same call: no obligation, no card.
